Our Second Web Press Operator is responsible for gathering materials and assisting in the setting up, operating and troubleshooting off our Web Presses to meet daily production and quality goals in a safe and efficient manner. He/she must have a minimum of two years of experience in the printing industry and specifically as a feeder, role tender or second pressman.  The operator must be able to read and measure with ruler, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must have at basic computer skills in and will be able to complete:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Able to read and understand job ticket to determine quantity to be printed, stock specifications, colors and special printing instructions and packing requirements
  • Gather and prepare materials for upcoming jobs and works with Lead Operator to set up and make ready
  • Assist Lead Web Press Operator in removal and replacement worn rollers and adjusts pressure between rollers of press, using hand tools
  • Works with Press Operator to perform regular maintenance on Equipment
  • Performs job duties in accordance with company safety rules
  • Performs proper and required maintenance as well as cleaning of press.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
